The chart history makes it easy to compare the trend of previous years to find the best fly-fishing patterns for the time of year and weather conditions. Each year has slightly different seasonality and environmental conditions on the water, nevertheless this chart is a useful guide and interesting resource to rediscover some old favourites which can have been forgotten in the test of time. Note this is a global chart, so we can see some Southern Hemisphere summer patterns enter the chart during the Northern Hemisphere's winter, however we aim to highlight this fact within the commentary.
