The Bunny Leech is a general-purpose streamer, a superb fly. It is useful in lakes and in slower portions of rivers.
The Leech makes a great early season pattern that attract in conditions where other flies fail. This can be attributed to Leeches being a highly important food source during this time of year, and in good fly fishing spirit, the best way is to mimick the fish's diet.
The 'Bunny' refers to the use of Rabbit Fur in the pattern. It is cut into zonker strips giving these flies a pulsating movement that trout just find irresistible, especially on a jerky and erratic retrieve.
