About the UV Chartreuse Buzzer Trout Fly
The UV Chartreuse Buzzer is a high-attraction stillwater buzzer designed for those moments when trout are feeding on chironomid pupae but need a little extra encouragement to take. It is an exciting buzzer pattern that fish can find irresistible at times, with an innovative UV style trigger intended to stimulate more aggressive takes.
This version pairs a dark holographic blue/purple abdomen with a bright chartreuse/green hotspot at the thorax, finished with a white “gill” tuft that adds a touch of life and visibility in the surface film. That contrast dark body, bright thorax creates a strong focal point for cruising fish, especially in a ripple or variable light when standard naturals can get lost.
Fishing Tips:
- Fish on a floating line with a long leader and let it drift and hang—takes often come when the buzzer is static or sinking slowly.
- Add a slow figure-of-eight to keep it creeping naturally.
- If fish are deeper, try an intermediate line, count it down, then maintain a steady, gentle retrieve.

Passed a UV torch over this. It's not UV. Nice enough buzzer though, with the quill body - Posted by on 14/11/2013
