Dressings

  • Hook : 8-16.
  • Thread : Black or grey.
  • Body : Two stripped hackle stalks or horsehair, one- white, one black, wound on together.
  • Thorax : Grey seal's fur.
  • Head : Bronze peacock herl.
  • Breathers : White antron yarn of white floss. optional.

I just met the bloke who created this fly! apparently he was intending to call it the bullseye but after seeing the newcastle united captain holding the fayres cup aloft he decided to call it "the footballer". - Posted by on 28/09/2008
