About the Jersey Herd Trout Fly
The Jersey Herd is an excellent lure when trout are chasing the fry, it is also good for working the margins.
It still has its place in fly boxes especially when the small still water trout are tired of seeing the gold heads and marabou tail flashing by.
Originally the body was made from a tin foil milk bottle top.
