Information about Snapper flies

The salt water Snapper is a slab-sided critter and turns that flat side toward the angler while fighting - making it very tough to subdue easily. In very clear water it is very spooky, but in milky or slightly murky water, one has a better chance with a fly. Many salt water fly fishers don't realize what a great game fish they are missing by ignoring them.

Great pattern for when the sickle tail Permit are rooting out their quarry in shallow water by sticking their face and mouth into the grass and mud. Many times the Permit will be seen "tailing" while feeding in this manner, using the forked tail as leverage to hold the fish in one position while the crab is dug out of the marl.

Choose a fly that you are interested in and then pick the hook size from those that we have available.

Available pack sizes will vary depending on which fly is chosen, and which hook size.

The most popular flies in their most popular sizes are held in our local stock and can be delivered immediately.

Less popular types are held at a remote store and therefore take 5 – 10 days to deliver.

All flies are tied to a very high standard using the best materials.

Pricing and Pack sizes

Packs of 12 are 20% cheaper per fly then packs of 3.

Free Delivery on orders over £20. (higher for overseas deliveries)
