About the Francis Tri Snaelda Salmon Atlantic Fly
Francis Tri Snaelda (Brass) tubes are very popular for Salmon fishing in heavy water in Iceland and the rest of the world.
The cracking combination of Black, red and yellow adds excitement to this proven fly.
Expert Tip:
These Snaelda brass tubes will sink very well and are therefore heavy for casting. Preferable to use on double handed rods or large single handed rods. The 1” tubes are very good all summer but the 1 ½” in heavier water in spring and floods.
Some fishermen prefer lighter tubes tied on Aluminium tubes, there fore the most popular tubes are also tied on aluminium tubes. These are much easier to cast with single handed rods but will not sink as well. Dr. Jonas Jonasson
