It is used from the beginning of the season to the close, from the rough and tumble streams to the quiet still waters with equal success.

Dressings

  • Hook : 12-18.
  • Thread : Primrose.
  • Tail : Two strands of mallard hackle fibres.
  • Body : Hare's ear fur, well picked out.
  • Wing : Woodcock or pale starling.

Gold rib is optional.
