About the Sherry Spinner Trout Fly
The Sherry Spinner was devised long ago to imitate the female spinner of the familiar blue winged olive. Exciting time are had with this pattern late on summer evenings.
Expert Tip:
"Talk about the dry fly must always begin with Frederick M. Halford, first historian and high priest of a puritanical cult which has spread its influence over the entire world of the fly-fishing fraternity. Gifted by nature with an analytical and inquiring mind, he was well fitted for the task of assembling in orderly and lucid manner all of the theory and practice of the dry fly as it existed in his day."
From A Modern Dry Fly Code by Vincent Marinaro, first published in 1950.
