About the Chartreuse and White Booby Trout Fly
The Chartreuse and White Booby is a buoyant fly usually best fished on Sinking Line and very short leader,500 cm (24”). Your Booby fly can be presented hovering temptingly just above the bottom, where the fish are often lying especially during early season. Ideal for bank fishing on stillwaters and reservoirs.
On a boat with a fast sinking line with this fly popped just off the bottom is deadly.
When your booby is out and settled, give it a little twitched retrieve - 10 to 20 cm (12”), this both give the booby 'life' and attracts attention.
Expert Tip:
Very versatile; fishes well all year round and on any density of flyline , from a floater, to a intermediate or a fast sinker.

Comments from other fly fishermen
On a boat with a fast sinking line with this fly popped just off the bottom is deadly. I find it very effective for Brown Trout but I have landed some large pike on this fly as well. - 4 out of 5 Stars by Kyle on 11/04/2010
