Dressings
- Hook : 12 - 16
- Thread : Black or dk. brown
- Tail : Red / scarlet wool
- Underbody : Black or dark. brown antron (or similar) body material.
- Body : Two or three strands of Peacock herl tied on wound around the tying thread (to both give it strength and hold the body together after a hit from a hungry trout)
- Hackle - Ginger to light brown.
Red Tag's Red Tag is a fairly standard tie but we do insist on building up the body to give the trout 'in my eye' a plumper beetle to munch on.
