About the Pale Watery Dun Trout Fly
George Monkhouse devised this particular dressing to imitate the female spinner of greater spur wing.
This fly pattern can also be used to represent of the light colored mayfly duns and some spinners.
A PWD fly is very popular with the trout, so much so that they have been observed selecting these from scores of other dun.
