About the Kite's Pale Evening Dun Trout Fly
The pale evening dun (watery) is representative of a small number of olives, surwings and duns; which all look very similar to most anglers and luckerly similar to most trout. They are on the water from May to October, hence are a known food to the resident trout.
Very useful fly to have in ones flybox.
Expert Tip:
But the angler having found the fly which the fish at present affect, let him make one as like it as possible he can, in colour, shape, proportion; and for his better imitation let him lay the natural fly before him.
