About the Elk & CDC Trout Fly
The Elk & CDC is deceptive in its simplicity yet very effective pattern; much more than just a caddis imitation, such is its versatility.
This fly is really deadly; with that extra factor of being buggy with a stimulating wing silhouette and buoyancy.
Expert Tip:
The hair wing provides the illusion of movement and the tendrils of CDC which spread over all directions will suggest all manner of things, legs, shucks etc. but probably the most important, giving movement and life.
