About the Lady Meikleour Brooch Pin Fly Fishing Gifts
The lady Meikleour Salmon fly was designed by Claire Mercer Nairne on the banks of the river Tay at the Meikleour & Upper Islamouth beat. Claire wanted to design a new salmon fly double, so I brought my fly tying kit along to lunch one day and we sat down at the top fishing hut. Claire came out with her stunning colour combination of this fly which was inspired by the red squirrels she see regularly bouncing around and the beautiful pink rhododendron which adorns the banks of the house pool. It was that good looking we at Caledonia Fly Company have put this magnificent fly into our brooch range and named it after Lady Meikleour as she is as keen as us about Salmon fly fishing.
