About the Salscraggie Salmon Atlantic Fly
A typical Victorian classic salmon fly - an elegant beauty - 'The Salscraggie'. Named after a beat on the River Helmsdale. It is often called 'Pale Torrish', a variation of the Torrish pattern.
It was created in or around 1850's, earnt its reputation as an excellent pattern on the salmon rivers of Britain, its popularity spread throughout the world.
