The Collie Dog is one of the 'old' classic flies which has refused to disappear.
Although it originated sometime during the eighteenth century, it continues its popularity today as a result of the movement to a successful hairwing pattern.
Expert Tip:
It can be skipped across the top of the streams or can be stripped and fished down and across. It is one of those pattern that you might see the Salmon/Grilse leaving the water looking like is has erupted and even sometimes the fly not even a touch. This is exciting 3D fishing at its best.
