About the Blue Charm JC BMD Salmon Atlantic Fly

This is the hairwing version of the traditional Blue Charm featherwing salmon fly. Reputedly orginated by Colin Simpson. It is one of the earliest and simplest of the hairwing patterns, with a nice action; and is widely used as a summer fly pattern on rivers.

Expert Tip:

Reminded of the old adage, "use a bright fly on a bright day and a dark fly on a dark day." The Blue charm has a little of both maybe that's why it has proven so effective season after season.
