This variant is very effective throughout the season and is best fished deep.

Pattern Dressings
- Tube : Copper or brass.
- Tying silk : Black.
- Tag : Oval gold tinsel.
- Body : Gold holographic tinsel.
- Rib : Oval gold tinsel.
- Wing : Mixed fibres of fluorescent orange, bright yellow and black buck tail, tied all round the tube.
The original fly was tied as a Waddington - Brora style.
