The Eyed Stalking Bug Orange is a bold, weighted stalking fly designed for crystal-clear lakes, stillwaters, dams and reservoirs, where trout can often be seen cruising or holding close to the margins. Its bright orange marabou tail gives excellent movement, while the weighted body helps the fly drop quickly into the fish’s line of sight.

This pattern is especially useful when you need a more visible or provocative alternative to natural olive stalking bugs. The orange dressing acts as a strong trigger colour, making it ideal for targeting individual fish in clear water, particularly when they are showing interest but refusing subtler patterns.

Cast ahead of the trout, allow the fly to sink, then bring it to life with short twitches, tiny strips or a slow figure-of-eight retrieve. The marabou tail continues to pulse even at very slow speeds, making this an excellent choice for careful, close-range presentation.
