About the Rhyacophila Larva Trout Fly
The ever-popular Rhyacophila Larva. This is probably the most prevalent free-living caddis in our home waters in the UK, and whenever you turn over a few stones this is the one you are most likely to encounter.
My favourite method of fishing this pattern is no great secret, you fish it Czech style, upstream nymphing on fast water. Everything is done to get the flies down deep as quickly as possible.
Expert Tip:
Trout enjoy this morsel and it is a favourite when fishing for the 'lady of the stream',Grayling.
