About the Black Muddler Trout Fly
The Black Muddler is a remarkably versatile pattern.
When fished on the surface it will imitate a variation of terrestrial bugs, also such delights as grasshoppers to wounded minnows.
Underwater it many well appearance to the trout as a large nymph or small baitfish.
What ever it is seen as, it has accounted for many ;and it is a worthy of inclusion to any Flybox.
Expert Tip:
Angler will almost always have their day spiced up when pull our Muddler Minnow through the waves on a windy day or figure of eight it on calmer ones. From late summer and Autumn trout become more interested in fry. These tiny fish congregate around weed beds and/or near inlets> a jerky retrieved Muddler will often inspire slashing takes.
