About the Pink Fritz Trout Fly
The "Blob" colourful series of dry flies are possibly the simplest trout flies ever created;and despite their simplicity, they are remarkably successful.
A stillwater technique — fast-stripping brightly colored "blob" flies — is hammering stillwater trout in competitions in Britain.
Generally, the bright colours and sparkle attract the fish towards your team of flies. they are most effective when boat fishing: never under estimate vibrant Blob's, they proved quite excellent sport from the bank.
Expert Tip:
Try hanging them under an indicator at varying depths.
Retrieve them back at different speeds; vary the length of pull.
You can fish them shallow or deep even pulled through a wave if the waters a bit rough.
I find there were fewer 'tail-nip' type bites with the Blob than with my usual marabou tailed lures.
