The Quill Gordon is a very successful dry fly that is considered, by the Catskill Fly Tyers' Guild, to be Theodore Gordon's signature fly.

  • Hook : 10-14.
  • Thread : Yellow.
  • Tail : Dun hackle.
  • Wing : Lemon flank from wood duck.
  • Body : Peacock herl, from eye, stripped, wound and lacquered.
  • Hackle : Dun hackle.

Ribbing is optional, fine wire to strengthen quill.
