About the Olive Dun Trout Fly
The 'Olive Dun' is one of the most important standard dry flies every angler should have in his flybox. Why ? Because the trout know it so well and feed on them most of the season .
Their tone and hue of olive varies throughout the season, usually best to have a few different sizes and shades in the flybox
Expert Tip:
"What is a trout fly? It is a confection, simple or more complex, built upon a hook of suitable size, tied, or capable of being attached, to gut or hair, and either representing or suggesting one or other of the forms of insect life upon which the trout preys and thrives, or else by colour or action suggesting to the trout living or exciting which may move him to 'swat' it"
