About the Hoflands Fancy Trout Fly

Established it's place in Flyboxes as a reliable pattern on most waters, specially when the sun begins to set. TC Hofland ( The British Angler's Manual) created in the 1830's his 'Fancy' as an imitation of small spinners but it soon became known as good general purpose fly.
