- Thread : Dark brown
- Tail : Natural cock pheasant tail
- Body : Pale dogs' hair
- Wing : White CDC
- Hackle : First grizzle then Red game
The red game hackle is wound on in front of the grizzle. A V is cut out of the underside hackle, allowing the fly to sit well on the surface
